    Hello! Welcome to Weights and Balances!

     My name is Lora and I have struggled with my weight all my life.  I joined Weight Watchers for the third time in January 2013 after realizing I was headed straight for a possible heart attack.  I topped the scale at almost 265 pounds on January 23, 2013.  After having lost 115 pounds, I reached my Weight Watchers Goal Weight on July 6, 2014 and earned Weight Watcher’s Lifetime status on August 16, 2014.  I continued to lose some additional weight to reach a long-time personal goal and have lost a total of 136 lbs. on Weight Watchers.

    About six months after I began my weight loss journey and new lifestyle, in June of 2013, I began writing and publishing a weekly electronic newsletter which I named “Weights and Balances.”  Currently, I send out the newsletter to over 100 people interested in health and weight loss.  In September of 2013, at the encouragement of friends, I began writing a blog on weight loss called “Weights and Measures.”   

    In December of 2014, I created this site to share the tools and resources I find to be helpful and hope to inspire and encourage others as they continue or begin their weight loss journeys.  If you have a weight loss success story and you would like to share, email me at: lora@weightsandbalances.com
